This is a 30" wide 9/12 to 24/12 to 32/12 pitch copper turret cap we made for this turret for a client named Doug Szakacsy who is a High School Biology Teacher in Moorpark, California. He had Parent-in-laws who live just 90 miles South of us, so he planned a visit here with his Daughter to get the $2,200 worth of custom copper sheet metal work we did for them, like the 83" long copper chimney cap and other custom flashing. This copper cap needed to have a weathervane support and a roof vent under that as well. Here it is with the screened vent in the center. Then a shot with a smaller cap just set on the base cap to see what it would look like. Then I made a steeper cap to go over the vent. Here is a couple shots of the supports being installed around the vent with that same small cap attached on them. Here is the weathervane support pipe being attached over the small cap. This is the finished cap.
The final cost was $400 even with the client flying up here to pick it up. A roof vent or a weathervane support pipe adds to the cost of these sort of projects. |
